The Diocese is about 250 km long and 80 km wide. It covers 6 political districts of Adjuman, Moyo, Yumbe, Koboko, Maracha and Arua in Northwestern Uganda.
These districts are connected with poor roads – mainly gravel roads but there is a good road linking the area to Kampala up to the Congo and South Sudan Border reducing access to the area to 6-8 hours of driving.
There is also a good air service by Eagle Air and MAF which is 1-2 hours only.
Arua Airport is to be upgraded to International Airport standards.
Arua town has grown phenomenally in the last 10 years and is the main business hub for South Sudan and DR Congo.
The Nile coming out of L. Albert forms the Eastern Border and provides the needed fish which forms the diet of many in the area.
The mighty Murchison Falls Game Park provides the needed game drive and nature break for anyone who wants to do so.
